Where is Coinbar?
Coinbar lives in the menu bar at the top of your screen and has no Dock icon. Click the price to open your watchlist. If your menu bar is crowded, free some space by closing another menu bar item. You can reopen the guide with Welcome to Coinbar… in the menu.
Choose your assets
Open Select Assets… to add or remove coins and stocks. Fresh installations include BTC, ETH, SOL, Apple (AAPL), Alphabet Class A / Google (GOOGL), and NVIDIA (NVDA). Your existing watchlist is preserved when upgrading.
Only BTC is pinned on a fresh installation. Click a row in the main price menu to toggle its checkmark and show or hide that asset in the menu bar. Removing the checkmark does not remove it from your watchlist.
Missing or stale prices
Check your internet connection and allow the next refresh (normally about a minute). An ellipsis means data has not loaded; No price means the completed crypto request did not provide a price. Newly listed or delisted assets may have no market data.
CoinGecko and Yahoo Finance may delay, limit, or temporarily block requests. Cached stock quotes can remain visible offline, and the pause symbol indicates non-live stock quotes. A listed coin is not a guarantee that price data is available.
Make it fit your Mac
Use Options for text size, colors, currency, and Launch at Login. If many prices crowd the menu bar, unpin some assets from the main price menu. They remain accessible in the full list.
Report an issue
Email hello@arenovo.com with your Coinbar version, macOS version, the affected asset symbol, steps to reproduce the issue, and any visible error. A redacted screenshot can help. Do not include API keys, passwords, wallet secrets, or private financial details.
