What stays on your Mac
Coinbar stores your watchlist, display preferences, selected currency, welcome-guide completion state, cached coin directory, and last successful stock quotes locally. If you enter a CoinGecko API key, it is stored in local application preferences and sent to CoinGecko when making API requests.
Coinbar does not require an account, connect to wallets or brokerages, or request holdings, transaction history, private keys, or payment-card details. The app includes no Arenovo advertising or analytics SDK.
Requests to market data providers
To show prices and search results, your Mac connects directly to CoinGecko for cryptocurrency identifiers, search terms, selected currencies, market quotes, and coin images, and to Yahoo Finance for stock symbols, search terms, quotes, and currency pairs. Image hosts supplied by the data provider may also receive image requests.
These providers receive the requested data and ordinary network information such as your IP address, request time, and HTTP headers. Yahoo requests use service cookies and a session token to retrieve quotes; these may be held by macOS networking storage for the app. Coinbar does not ask you to sign in to Yahoo or read your browser's account cookies.
Third parties process information under their own policies, which may vary by region: CoinGecko privacy policy and Yahoo privacy policy. Data may be processed outside your country. Arenovo does not operate a server that receives your watchlist or proxies these requests.
When you contact support
If you email hello@arenovo.com, Arenovo receives your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request, investigate problems, and maintain relevant support records. Please redact financial information and never send API keys, passwords, or wallet secrets.
Support messages are retained only as long as needed for support, security, and applicable legal obligations. Email service providers may process these messages on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information; information may also be disclosed where required by law.
Your choices
Remove assets in Select Assets… and clear an optional API key in Options. Quit Coinbar to stop its background market-data requests. Local preferences, cached files, and service cookies can persist on your Mac until removed; contact support for help resetting them. Removing the app alone may not remove all local settings.
For access, correction, or deletion requests concerning support information held by Arenovo, email hello@arenovo.com. Rights and exceptions depend on your location. For information held independently by a data provider, use that provider's privacy contacts.
Updates and contact
We will update this page when Coinbar's data practices change and revise the effective date above. Privacy questions: hello@arenovo.com.
